Having originally studied sculpture at Cardiff and Carmarthen art colleges, Paul undertook extensive training in carving marble with craftsman Paulo Narra spanning some four years, working as his assistant in the early eighties.

He advanced this training studying with master carver Jason Arkles in Florence.

Although trained in carving in a more traditional figurative way Paul has found he enjoys focusing on developing more of a connection with subconscious input.

More recently gaining an MA in Glass- his intention is to combine the materials of Glass and Stone into Sculptural forms.
